Yuvajana Sakhyam

Introduction

The Mar Thoma Yuvajana Sakhyam was formed with a view that all young people in the Church should accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour, and bear witness to his saving power. It was established in 1933 by a resolution of the Sabha Prathinidhi Mandalam. Branches of the Sakhyam were set up in the Parishes with a four-fold programme of worship, study, witness and service. The Immanuel Mar Thoma Yuvajana Sakhyam has been playing an active role in equipping the Youth of the Church to accept Jesus Christ as Lord, God and Personal Savior.

Time Schedule

Every Friday from 11:15 AM to 12:15 PM @ Mar Thoma Center

Membership

All Church members between the age of 13 to 35 years can become members of Yuvajana Sakhyam. Presently we have 84 members registered with the Mar Thoma Central Yuvajana Sakhyam, Thiruvalla.

Aims

To Equip the youth to accept Jesus Christ as Lord, God and Saviour.

Our Mission:

• To inculcate the love of Christ in youths and to enable them to focus on Christ than anything else.
• Transform the Mar Thoma Youth into a lifestyle of true Christian living through studying and implementation of the Word of God in their lives.
• Helping the Youth to find God’s purpose in their lives.
• Inspire the youth to impact and transform the society with Christian morals and values
• Encourage the Mar Thoma Youth to love, own and grow with the Mar Thoma Church
• To organize & conduct training camps, meetings, discussions & classes to improve the knowledge of the youth in the Holy Bible, Church’s faith & practice, ecumenism and in current social affairs.
• To have participation of the youth in the mission of the Church.
• To instill love & faith towards the Church & Christian values & to help overall growth of the Church.
